Do you ever just want to get that first fight over with?
We were holding hands. He was driving. I was caught by surprise when he turned to me and said “Do you ever just want to get that first fight over with?” Truth is I had just been thinking about that. I held his hand tighter as I replied, “You know sometimes I do. I want see how it will affect us and how will we respond? What is it going to be about?” He nutted his head in agreement and added “I also want to know when I make you angry because I want to be able to fix it.” I said “I also want you to be able to do the same.” I continued, “I think the reason we don’t fight is because the about of respect we have for ourselves and for each other.” He agreed and then I asked him “Do you wish that we had more time to get to know each other?” He answered “Yeah, it’s like I know you but at the same time I don’t.” And I couldn’t agree more! We were at the house I’m house sitting for this week so we were laying on the couch (I know it sounds worst than it truly is.) so we were laying there talking for a while and I started falling asleep in his arms so he kissed my forehead and said “Sweet Dreams my love.” It was perfect until he had to wake me up so he could drive me home.
We’ve been together for almost six months now and we have built a truly solid relationship. I can full heartedly say “I love him” and mean it. <3
